Huddersfield Miltary Hospital [England]
brief history:
The site was located at Royds hall, Luck lane in the Paddock area of Huddersfield, and was bought in 1913 to build houses and school.
However due the outbreak of WW1 in 1914 the were plans delayed and changed into military hospital with 600 beds in 1915.
In 1917 it was increased to 2000 beds and treated 22000 soldiers during the war.
In 1919 the military hospital was closed, and the Royds hall became a secondary school.
