Uxbridge convalescent Canadian hospital [England]

 

brief history:

 

Hillingdon house was for sale in 1914 and bought in 1915 by the British government.

It was converted into an hospital and opened on 20 September 1915 for Canadian wounded military.

Later some huts were erected, with gym, theatre and a canteen. Closed in 1917.
