3rd Southern General Hospital Oxford [England]

 

brief history:

 

It started in August 1914 as territorial force examination schools over several sites:

Oxford Masonic buildings, New College shelter, Radcliffe infirmary, The Durham, Radcliffe buidlings and Oxford Eye hospital.

At that time the hospital on request of the military took it over to handle the large amount of wounded soldiers.

In surrounding area more buildings were added as auxiliary hospitals.
